​The Role

This position is primarily remote.The duties and responsibilities of a Junior Project Manager include interfacing with linguists, other internal team members and client contacts. Jr. PMs are involved in scheduling and costing projects. The Junior PM is responsible for the successful completion of a project from beginning to end. This position requires taking initiative, asking questions, problem solving, documentation of processes, regular status checking and reporting. Our team works as a global team, with PM support covering all time zones. We work hard to train and develop our resources and maintain very low turnover as compared to the industry standard.


​The Responsibilities

  • Focus on building community with core team and linguistic resources
  • Ensuring that the client receives superior standards of project management and customer service at all times
  • Status reporting customized to client needs
  • Delivering all projects on time and within budget in accordance with client requirements
  • Troubleshooting and helping to set standards and processes and continually making recommendations to improve process and maximize efficiencies where possible
  • Central handling of queries and support requests
  • Interacting with language partners and in-house teams
  • All other tasks associated with project management
  • Assist with onboarding new clients
  • Daily monitoring of client requests
  • Daily follow up requests from other PMs for specific projects
  • Working with Vistatec specific applications
  • Learning, working with and basic troubleshooting of internal and client specific tools
  • Query delegation
  • Documenting processes both internally and in coordination w/ clients and other vendors

​DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE

  • Bachelors in Translation, Business or relevant field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within Localization or Translation
  • Problem solver with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent financial awareness, enthusiastic and hardworking
  • Experience developing, documenting and organizing process documents
  • Willingness to travel for training and/or client visits

     
  • Functional PC running Windows 10 with Office suite
    • Specific minimum spec requirements will be provided
  • Reliable internet access with good bandwidth
  • Ability to work remotely, without distraction
  • Self-sufficient and reliable, ability and willingness to learn new tools
  • Acceptance of working independently in a remote location with support offered in on-line tools (email, instant message, skype/hangouts)
  • The willingness to take instruction remotely and ensure expectations are met
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt to change

     


Preferred qualifications

  • Working in a quality certified environment also a plus (ISO, etc.)
  • Experience working in cooperation with other remote workers
  • Experience working in quality review side of business
  • Multilingual
